Terms of use

The terms.

Last updated 28 October 2026

These terms are between you and Khalil Labs (SMC-Private) Limited, Pakistan ("we", "us"), which makes Knaizen MyBooks through its studio Knaizen. By using the app you accept them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard App Store EULA) also applies; where the two differ, these terms add to it but do not take away any right it gives you.

1. Bring your own books

MyBooks is a library and reader for EPUB and PDF files that you already have. It does not sell, lend or supply books. You are responsible for having the right to the files you add and read, and for keeping them in your own storage, such as your iCloud Drive. Do not use the app to read or share material you do not have the right to use. The app does not open DRM-protected books.

2. Account

You need to sign in with Apple to use the app. You can delete your account in the app's Settings at any time (see the privacy policy). Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it as described below.

3. Free trial and subscription

4. Talk to the book (AI chat)

The book chat gives answers written by an AI model from passages of your book. Answers can be wrong, incomplete or invented, and they are not professional advice of any kind. Check what matters against the book itself. The Claude engine is for subscribers, for your own personal reading, and may have a fair-use monthly limit shown in the app; we may limit or pause it for automated or abusive use. Do not use the chat for anything unlawful.

5. Your data

Your books stay in your own storage, and your reading data syncs through your own iCloud (see the privacy policy). We do not hold a copy and cannot restore it. Keeping your books backed up is up to you.

6. Using the app fairly

Do not try to break, reverse engineer or overload the app or our servers, or use them for anything unlawful. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules (including Family Sharing, where available).

7. No warranty

We work hard to make the app reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be error-free or always available, or that every book file will open correctly.

8. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for loss of books or data in your own storage, or for decisions made using AI answers. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes will be shown in the app. You can stop using the app at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling it.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without taking away any protection you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
